Services

Life Services, Inc. tailors and personalizes our services to honor the needs and request of each client. We do not believe that one size fits all. Our services range from occasional assistance to the total care afforded by conservatorship. Services are fee for service. However, if a client's assets are depleted Life Services, Inc. will provide continued care through our Benevolence fund. Below find a list defining our services. Please contact us with any questions you may have.

  • Professional Conservatorship

    Conservators are appointed and overseen by the court. Conservatorships are a legal protection for seniors who are unable to care for themselves or are victim of elder abuse. Each individual's conservatorship will be designed to meet their needs. Conservatorships can be of the Person; of the Estate or of both the Person and the Estate

    As Conservator of the Person LSI does the following:

    • Arranges for the conservatee's care and protection;
    • Decides where the conservatee will live; and
    • Is in charge of:
      • health care,
      • food,
      • clothes, personal care,
      • housekeeping, transportation, and
      • recreation and spiritual needs
    • Make regular reports to the court and other interested persons

    As Conservatorship of the Estate LSI does the following:

    • Manage the conservatee's finances;
    • Protect the conservatee's income and property;
    • Make a list of everything in the estate;
    • Make a plan to make sure the conservatee's needs are met;
    • Make sure the conservatee's bills are paid;
    • Invest the conservatee's money;
    • Make sure the conservatee gets all the benefits he or she is eligible for;
    • Make sure the conservatee's taxes are filed and paid on time;
    • Keep exact financial records; and
    • Make regular reports of the financial accounts to the court and other interested persons
  • Trust Management

    Providing the financial security by a court supervised trustee.

    As a court appointed Trustee LSI will:

    • Manage the trust as the grantor/trustor established
    • Comply with current laws
    • Manage trust assets
    • Pay all trust expenses
    • File all tax returns
    • Balance interests of multiple beneficiaries
    • Maintain accurate records and provide the court with timely accountings
  • Estate Administration

    Serving as executor to manage and distribute estate assets to beneficiaries as directed in a will.

    As Estate Administrator LSI will:

    • notify and communicate with beneficiaries
    • Inventory and protect all assets
    • Settle all accounts
    • prepare and file all taxes and accountings
    • Distribute estate according to Will. If no Will distribution will be determined by law.
  • Representative Payee

    Receive benefit payments for clients and sees that all their bills are paid and financial obligation are met in a prudent and timely fashion.
  • Friendly Visitor Program

    The Friendly Visitor program provides social contact to isolated and at risk seniors. A trained and supervised volunteer visits each senior in the program 2-4 times a month depending on the senior's needs and interests.  LSI visitors are trained to do a mini- assessment making sure each senior is safe in their home as well as to identify if any services may be needed or may be of benefit to the senior. Visits will be approx. 1-2 hours in duration and will take place in the seniors residence or a common area. Volunteers will not transport seniors but are able to meet them at a different location if the senior can safely get there. NO financial or confidential medical information is to be disclosed to the volunteers and they will be asked to help seniors understand what information is private if they are struggling. The Friendly Visitor program is a resource for seniors who may otherwise not have the opportunity for socialization.
  • Daily Money Management Program

    Many seniors have the ability to live independently but are often overwhelmed by the the complex day to day management of their affairs. LSI has started a program where we provide the below listed services on a sliding scale to seniors who need assistance. This is not a one size fits all program, LSI staff will work with each individual, along with facility staff or family if available, to identify what the individual needs are and how we can best support the senior in the least restrictive manner.

    Services:
